Terms & Conditions
IRIS Lab Public Voting Campaign, in collaboration with BSG & Technologies (“the organiser”). By voting or bulk voting, you accept these terms.
1. The campaign
Schools compete for an IRIS Lab by collecting votes. The campaign opens and closes on the dates published on this website; votes and bulk votes are only accepted while voting is open. The organiser may extend the voting period, and the dates shown on this site always reflect the period actually being enforced.
2. Voting
- By USSD: dial the advertised voting line and enter your school's code. The USSD line is premium rated — dialling it costs more than a standard call/USSD session, at the tariff advertised with the voting line. You may vote repeatedly via USSD.
- On this website: if you have already voted via USSD, confirm with the same mobile number. If not, you can register here — registration casts one vote per mobile number per school.
- Content-creator codes: a school code shared by a content creator (e.g. CODE-01) counts for the school exactly like the plain school code, and additionally credits that creator's leaderboard.
3. Bulk votes and payment
- A bulk vote is a paid contribution that converts into additional votes for your chosen school at the campaign's published rand-per-vote rate. The minimum bulk vote is R10; you may bulk vote as many times as you like, for any school, while voting is open.
- Payments are processed by PayFast. Votes are credited only once PayFast confirms the payment as complete; a cancelled or failed payment credits no votes and takes no money.
- If you accept the bulk-vote offer on USSD, your number is reserved for that school until that bulk vote completes — after it completes, you may bulk vote for any school.
4. Refunds
A completed bulk vote is a final contribution to the campaign and is not refundable, except where a payment was made in error or fraudulently, or where South African consumer law requires a refund. Where a refund is granted or a payment is reversed by the payment provider, the votes it purchased are removed from the school's total. Refund requests and payment disputes: iris.support@infinitepursuit.co.za.
5. Fair play
The organiser may block numbers, remove votes, or suspend schools involved in fraudulent or abusive activity (including automated voting), and may verify results before announcing a winner. Suspended schools no longer appear in standings. The organiser's verified result is final.
6. Winner
The winning school is the school with the highest verified vote total (USSD, web and bulk votes combined) at the closing date. The IRIS Lab prize is supplied and fulfilled by the organiser, BSG & Technologies.
7. Personal information
Personal information is handled as described in our Privacy Notice. The marketing-consent question asked when you register is optional and does not affect your vote.
8. General
The organiser may amend these terms; the version published on this page applies. These terms are governed by South African law. Questions about these terms: iris.support@infinitepursuit.co.za.
